American Apparel Lookbook contest

This is like a catalogue of how to wear American Apparel. They should have had this when I started working because I am so bad at dressing myself. Now I can have inspiration ... aka I can copy them! Too bad they're not wearing Aa from head to toe like I have to..

UNIQLO. Again.

I must go to New York to shop at one of my favorite stores Uniqlo. Why do I like it? It's like a bigger, cheaper and cleaner version of American Apparel. And it's Asian. But I'm not racist. =P I need winter clothes! Knit tights, coats and their magical Heat gear.

Here's the link to coverage of their fashion show:

It's such a cool site... I think...
Flavors.Me is basically a site that links together all your information that you have online such as this blog, twitter, vimeo, etc. etc.

David Horvitz

This guy posts up things for you to do and they are all pretty creative, some more than others. I have never done any of them, and probably won't either, but I check up on his tumblr once in a while. Today I looked at it and saw this:

Seems interesting huh?

Roksanda Ilincic Spring 2010 RTW

I decided to take a look at the designers whose names I have never heard of.
Ehh for Roksanda Ilinci.
But I do like these:

I don't know if I could ever pull off floor-length dresses. Maybe if I gained some height and lost some weight... and could wear high- high heels better.

I think it's time I dress nicely on a daily basis. Except I can't afford this stuff!

Mariah Carey. I've been listening to her album, and her voice is AMAZING. But I have 2 problems with her:

[1] She's getting old, so please, please stop acting young and sexy. She does have curves and is still pretty but stop super-flaunting them. Your voice is beautiful enough. No need to slut around and attract all the attention to your body. See Beyonce, she's a strong woman with a wonderful voice, and yes she flaunts her body, but not in such a trampy way. There's a reason why people see her as a ditz. And Nick Cannon?

[2] Know what she should do about those large mounds on her chest? Introduce them. They are so scared of each other. It's like to negatives, the force just pushes them away.

But the songs are relaxing. She does have a soothing, angelic voice and I am wowed at her ability to reach those mega-high pitches and still be able to make a melody in tune. When I try, I feel like hell is escaping from me.

My favorite is the remake of "I Want to Know What Love Is"

I don't know if it has to do with my paleness or my sickliness, but I am so cold. It's supposedly 60 degrees today but I am freezing still. I wonder how I was able to survive the winters in the past..
But here's the juice of this blog:

SHOPPONG! Yes, pong. I dost not knoweth why. But here is my winter shopping list [Not Christmas, I doubt I'll be able to afford your presents]
I smell a trip to NY coming soon. Uniqlo does not ship to the US, but I really need to get myself some of their heat tech gear because I've done some research [reading other's blogs] and supposedly it works! And it's cheap! And I really like Uniqlo.

1. UNIQLO Heat Tech + Others
I have $140 allowance to spend at American Apparel. I, honestly, am sick of their clothes, well, it's more of an on/off love/hate relationship right now, because yes, I like their hoodies and all their clothes, almost, but I'm required to dress myself head to toe in AA clothing, and it requires me to be fashionable and creative. I only have so much creative juice in me. But I try on clothes at work [shh] and some of it is really warm.
2. American Apparel winter gear
Don't know if I should get it cause I'm not allowed to wear it when I'm working.. hmm
Unisex Nantucket Fleece Zip Hoody $52.00. It's warm!
They also have winter leggings and thermal stuff, which I should and should not get. I should not because I'm almost sure that Uniqlo stuff is better. But I should because I'm not allowed to wear Uniqlo in the store, American Apparel only. It is free though so I shall.
3. More Scarves
I recently found and bought a deep blue scarf from H&M, it was $10! It was warm, but also really light, and big so I could wrap it around my shoulders and head and neck lalala. But Jacqueline wakes up earlier than me for school, and she steals it. And she also steals the Northface jacket that my big, Yvonne gave me. Grr.
4. I shall splurge on a super warm winter coat.
I hope it will be light, because I hate the stiff heavy coats that prevent me from moving around gracefully, because according to my bf, I am graceful. Pshaw!! hahahaha. And I don't want to wear black.
5. Handy dandy winter accessories
Winter socks
More warm hats
I know scarves were already mentioned, but heck, Scarves
Tights, I think I will forever be buying tights because mine keep ripping
Ear muffs? Hats are better
HEAD PHONES! Big pink ones! I want to be gangster again!
Boots, shoes.. oo, slippers.
My list sucks. I'm too poor. But I will get them.

They're Making A Book!

I WANT IT! It comes to the USA in January? Ugh. Must wait.

Lately, I've been really dolled up. Well, not really dolled up, but I've been dressing up like a girl every single day because I am required to do so by American Apparel. I must be stylish, and according to one of my co-workers, because I don't really talk to anyone at all, I am successful every day I work there. Hurrah! My dress code consists of all American Apparel - colored tights, skirts, dresses. I don't have much, but it's enough for another 2 weeks worth of work..

ANYHOO, I miss being a tomboy-like kid. So I found this cool site with a bunch of wicked t-shirts. I shall refrain from buying anything until I have $1000 in my checking account. Right now I have about $800, but I owe the boyfriend $1000 for China. Haha! Word.

Kate Spade

$65? It's such a fun bracelet.. or is it a necklace? I don't know. But I could never afford to spend that much on a bracelet. I just like it. Maybe for now only though. I'm probably going to look back one day and think "Ugh. I used to have such bad taste".

Touching Photo

Her father was ordered to go to Iraq and she didn't want to let go, so she held onto his hand, even in formation and no one had the heart to pull her away.

Tomorrow, at 5:18pm [2 minutes after 5:16 which is my birthday 5/16], the Sun will be right above the equator for us, and we will no longer get that summer heating. Goodbye Summer. I will miss your warmth greatly.

But I have plans!
1. apple picking
2. surfing
3. go look at foliage
4. halloween

Now if only I can stop working to go do that stuff.

Ladies Room Rush Hour

That moment before 5:00pm everyone is leaping at the bathroom key as soon as it returns to it's hanging spot. I guess everyone wants to look nice before they leave the workplace. Either that or they already stopped working 15 minutes ahead and have put everything away, now they just need to kill some time before leaving.

I'm guilty of it all.

Oh Shijia

Shijia is one of my sorority sisters. She is a cutie from Taiwan. Here's her shoe.

Ain't it adorable?

And here are pictures from her 22nd birthday celebration. She wanted everyone to wear black so that she can be special in white/blue:

She is the owner of my baby bunny, coming soon.

So Lindt had a sale for their 80 pieces box of chocolate, originall $40, but on sale for $20. My brother bought one, then Jane went and bought one too. We devoured the first box in 2 days, and slowed down on the 2nd one. There are still about 8 pieces left.

They fell out of their places so my mom took chopsticks and put them back where they belong. Cute huh? The Creme brule one is my favorite.
